GO Urban Adventure Race DC Wrap-up:
Hey DC GO Urbanites, congrats! You survived the hot August sun, metro line delays, an extremely challenging course, and lets not forget that damn BLUE line. Kilroy, Sport Rock, and the Apollo Lunar Module didn’t stop you and you returned to the finish line with a smile, some bags of trash, and the need for a cold refreshing beer! We hope you had as much fun as we did at the first ever GO Urban Adventure Race. Here are some successes of the race:
- 22 bags of trash collected and recycled
- 20 pairs of shoes were donated to Soles4Souls
- some teams ran over 16 miles (insane!)
- Wolaver’s shared their organic beer with us (thanks guys)
- Every team received free registration to the GO Urban Championship race next July (Thanks for participating in our first ever race!)
